We have contracts in process with several other insurance companies. We are willing to apply to become a provider for any client’s insurance company. We submit all billing directly to any insurance company and complete any required paperwork. We also have a scholarship program for those clients with no financial assistance and we accept private pay.
The scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to children regardless of diagnosis or financial resources. There are two levels of assistance. Those children who are not eligible for insurance reimbursement may apply for a scholarship to cover the majority of the cost of their therapy. Those children whose insurance reimbursement requires very high co-pay (in some cases more than half of the cost of service) or does not provide sufficient funding to meet their service needs may apply for a scholarship to apply toward the co-pay amounts or toward additional services.
Scholarship recipients are required to pay some co-pay ranging from $10.00 per week to $5.00 per hour. The parents of recipients may make arrangements with the office to pay the co-pay by completing volunteer hours at the Center. PlayDate Behavioral Interventions has achieved its goal of providing scholarship funding for a minimum of 20% of clients each year. This figure varies in year and in past fiscal years as many as 35% of clients have been provided with full or partial scholarships.
