We have contracts in process with several other insurance companies, and are willing to apply to become a provider for any client’s insurance company. We submit all billing directly to the insurance company and complete all required paperwork, and also have a scholarship program for those clients who have exhausted all other funding mechanisms and we accept private pay.
The scholarship program is designed to provide financial assistance to families with children in need of our services . There are two levels of assistance. Those children who do not have insurance coverage may apply for a scholarship to cover the majority of the cost of their therapy. Those children whose insurance reimbursement requires very high co-pay (in some cases more than half of the cost of service) or does not provide sufficient funding to meet their service needs may apply for a scholarship to cover the co-pay amounts or additional services.
Scholarship recipients are required to pay some co-pay. Families may make arrangements with the office to pay the co-pay by completing volunteer hours at the Center. PlayDate Behavioral Interventions has achieved our goal of providing scholarship funding for a minimum of 20% of clients each year. This figure varies each year and in past fiscal years as many as 35% of clients have been provided with full or partial scholarships.
