Direct Support Professional
Job Description
Locally founded and run nonprofit organization seeking energetic individuals who enjoy working with children with disabilities! This position involves providing guidance in behavior choices by teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills. Observe and document behaviors, intervene as necessary to mitigate inappropriate behaviors and shape appropriate behaviors. The children participate in a variety of fun activities as well as practicing vocational, daily living and social skills. Previous positive experience working with developmental disabilities and/or at-risk kids preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years old with high school diploma or equivalent and pass a background check. As required by Colorado Medicaid, employees must be FULLY VACCINATED for Flu and COVID.
