May 2024

Hi! My name is Antanaysiah and I am a Senior Therapist here at PlayDate. I started in December of 2023 but have been in Applied Behavior Analysis for 4 years. I absolutely love this field and after seeing the huge deficit and lack of therapists I decided to stop teaching preschool and begin my journey in ABA.

I am currently in my bachelor’s program to become a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. I love PlayDate’s approach to ABA and how much we go above and beyond for our clients and our community.

I love all of the outings, events, and camps we offer our families. Being able to teach important skills in the community is so important for our population! I love working here and I love our kiddos even more!

May Early Intervention Theme

We are excited to announce that our theme for May will be “Exploring Space”! We have a fun and educational outing planned to visit the Air Force Academy Planetarium, where our little explorers will have the opportunity to learn more about the wonders of the universe.

This month, our curriculum will center around space exploration, planets, stars, and galaxies. Our activities and lessons will be designed to spark curiosity and imagination in our young learners as they embark on this cosmic adventure.

We look forward to a month filled with excitement, discovery, and learning as we journey through the vast expanse of space together!

May Elementary/Tween Theme

We are thrilled to announce that the theme for May is “Plant and Animal Life Cycles”. This exciting theme will allow us to delve into the fascinating world of nature and learn about the interconnected cycles of life that sustain our planet.

Throughout the month, we will have the opportunity to explore the life cycles of plants and animals through hands-on activities, experiments, and educational projects. They will discover how living organisms grow, develop, and reproduce, gaining a deeper understanding of the natural world around them.

By immersing ourselves in the wonders of plant and animal life cycles, we aim to foster a sense of curiosity, appreciation, and respect for the environment and all living creatures.

March Teen Theme
Problem-Solving

We are excited to announce that our theme for this month is “Problem Solving.” This theme will focus on developing critical thinking skills, creativity, and resilience in our teens as they tackle various challenges and obstacles.

Problem-solving is a crucial skill that not only helps students excel academically but also prepares them for success in their future endeavors. Throughout the month, therapists will be incorporating problem-solving activities and projects into the curriculum to encourage teens to think outside the box and find innovative solutions.

We are reaching out to our PlayDate community to request assistance in this endeavor. If you have any expertise, resources, or ideas related to problem solving that you would like to share with our teens, we would greatly appreciate your involvement. Whether it’s hosting a workshop, providing real-world examples, or simply sharing your experiences, your contribution can make a significant impact on our teens’ learning journey.

Together, we can empower our teens to become confident problem solvers who are equipped to face any challenge that comes their way.
